I wanted to write about some things that annoy me, since I encountered an incident at Family Store earlier. However, as I was typing these very words in my blog, my thoughts went to an email entitled "Words of a Wise Man" sent to me by one of my dear friends.
Let me just summarise its content...it's a story about a-95 old man who told a younger man that every day he wakes up deciding that he's going to be happy. He chooses to see the better side of the things that happens to him every day of his life. "It's all up to us to determine if we want to be happy. Happiness is in our hands." (well something like that;-))
So I decided just that. Instead of focusing on some unpleasant incident, I decided to look at the nice things happened to me whole day.
So these are the nice things that made my day...
1. I had a good breakfast with wana and iza. It's the only time of the day nowadays when all of us would be able to eat together. That made me happy.
2. During the hols, I had to mark exam scripts, and yeah it was really tedious and frustrating looking at the students performance. However, on the other hand, I had good laughs marking those papers marveling at the students' ability to create new words;-). And today we shared among ourselves on precisely just this. So laughing is good. I was happy.
3. Mid morning, I finally found the song I have wanted to download for about weeks now. I was thrilled! Listen to it whole morning. I was happy.
4. My mom called just to say she misses me. hearing her voice was so nice. I was happy.
5.I had coffee around 3. What could top that? I enjoyed it tremendously. I was happy.
6. Then I realised I hardly have any space to write on my table. The computer was totally at the wrong side. And so I decided to rearrange the things around. And iza was ever so helpful and k.niza as well. Rearranging and sweeping. It's so nice of them to help. I'm blessed to have nice and lovely people around. I was thankful and happy.
7. Looking at the new arrangement, I now have more space on my table. I liked it. I was happy.
8. I went to Family Store. I managed to buy all I wanted on the list I have. I was happy.
9. I am writing an entry now. I'm happy.
I have decided wisely today. I am happy.:-)
